SMLZ-108
DESCRIPTION
SMLZ-108 is an off-white powdered fluid loss additive recommeded for blending with cement to control the loss of filtrate from cement slurry.
ADVANTAGE
SMLZ-108 is a non-retarding synthetic copolymer designed to control the loss of fluid from the slurry in porous environments. The additive promotes good compressive strength at low temperature, it performs well in fresh water, and it relatively salt-tolerant which can make it effective with up to 18% salt in a variey of cement composition. SMLZ-108 also has the following features:
- Excellent fluid loss control with very low concentrations of additive;
- Good salt tolerance makes it effective for a variety of cement compositions;
- Protects water-sensitive shale sections that may weaken and break down because of cement filtrate;
- Reduces the amount of filtrate that can penetrate formations containing bentonite clays.
