DESCRIPTION
SMLZ-TH-1 is dark brown powdered thinner recommended to control viscosity and reduce fluid loss in driling fluid.
APPLICATION
SMLZ-TH-1 is effective for viscosity control and fluid-loss reduction in all water-based mud system including freshwater, seawater etc. The lab tests show its mud performance of fresh water is better than salt water.
Due to its low PH, SMLZ-TH-1 treatments require additional alkaline materail like Caustic soda to maintain a consistent PH. It is most effective in mud systems at PH of 9-11, for lower PH systems, the product can be pre-mixed in a higher-alkalinity solution before adding to active mud system.
