DESCRIPTION
SMLZ-EA is a white crystalline powder or granules, it can be added to an acid to stabilizer iron.
APPLICATIONS AND ADVANTAGES
The injected acid dissolves iron from rust, millscale, iron scales or iron-containing minerals in the formation, and the iron can exist as ferric iron or ferrous iron. If the iron is not controlled, it will precipitate insoluble products such as ferric hydroxide or ferrous sulfide in sour environments, which will damager the formation.
After adding SMLZ-EA, it can change or reduce ferric iron to ferrous iron to avoid precipitation.
